حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي السَّوْدَاءِ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبْدِ خَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ تَوَضَّأَ فَغَسَلَ ظُهُورَ قَدَمَيْهِ وَقَالَ لَوْلَا أَنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَغْسِلُ ظُهُورَ قَدَمَيْهِ لَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّ بُطُونَهُمَا أَحَقُّ بِالْغَسْلِ.
Abdullah narrated to us, Ishaq bin Ismail narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Al-Sawda, on the authority of Ibn Abd Khair, on the authority of his father, he said: I saw Ali, may God be pleased with him, performed ablution and washed the tops of his feet, and said, “If I had not seen the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, wash The backs of his feet, I would have thought that their bellies were more deserving of washing.
