Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45477
Hadith #45477
Abd al-Rahman told us, on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Abu Husayn, on the authority of Umair ibn Sa`id, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him, who said, “There is no man whom I have stayed with.” Someone died, and I find in myself nothing but wine, for if he had died, I would have paid him my respects, because the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, did not drink it.
