حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، وَعَلِيِّ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَسْتَشْرِفَ الْعَيْنَ وَالْأُذُنَ وَلَا نُضَحِّيَ بِشَرْقَاءَ وَلَا خَرْقَاءَ وَلَا مُقَابَلَةٍ وَلَا مُدَابَرَةٍ.
Waki` narrated to us, on the authority of Israel, and Ali bin Salih, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Shurayh bin al-Nu`man, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him, who said our matter. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, that we should seek out the eye and the ear, and not sacrifice to the bright, the clumsy, the confrontational, or the Planned...
