Waki` narrated to us, on the authority of Ibn Abi Laila, on the authority of Al-Minhal bin Amr, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Laila, he said: My father used to travel with Ali. Ali used to wear summer clothes in the winter and winter clothes in the summer, and it was said to him: If you ask him, he asked him and he said that the Messenger of God prayed May God bless him and grant him peace. He sent for me while I was suffering from a sore throat on the Day of Khaybar. I said, “O Messenger of God, I have a sore throat.” He spit in my eyes and said, “O God, remove the heat from him.” And the cold, and I found neither heat nor cold yet. He said, “I will send a man whom God and His Messenger love and who loves God.” And his Messenger is not fleeing. He said, so the people looked forward to her. He said, so he sent Ali, may God be pleased with him.
