Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #44702

Abdullah bin Yazid told us, Dawud told us, meaning Ibn Abi Al-Furat, Abdullah bin Buraidah told me, on the authority of Abu Al-Aswad Al-Dili, he said I came to Medina and a disease had occurred there, and they were dying a miserable death, so I sat with Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him. Then a funeral passed by and its owner was praised well. Omar, may God be pleased with him, said: It is obligatory. Then another passed by and its owner was praised well. He said: It is obligatory. Then he passed by the third, and he praised its owner as evil, so Omar, may God be pleased with him, said: It is obligatory, so I said: It is not obligatory, O Amir. The believers. He said, “I said, as the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, ‘Any Muslim whose goodness is witnessed by four people, God will admit him to Paradise.’ He said, ‘We said. Or three, he said, or three, and we said, or two, and he said, or two, and then we did not ask him about the one.
