حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جُرَيَّ بْنَ كُلَيْبٍ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ عَضَبِ الْقَرْنِ وَالْأُذُنِ قَالَ قَتَادَةُ فَسَأَلْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ قَالَ قُلْتُ مَا عَضَبُ الْأُذُنِ فَقَالَ إِذَا كَانَ النِّصْفَ أَوْ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ.
Hajjaj told us, Shu’bah told me, on the authority of Qatada, he said, I heard Jarry bin Kulayb saying, I heard Ali, may God be pleased with him, saying that the Messenger of God forbade May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, about the pinching of the horn and the ear. Qatada said: I asked Saeed bin Al-Musayyab. He said: What is the pinching of the ear? He said if it was half or more than that.
