حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ جُرَيِّ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَلِيًّا، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُضَحَّى بِأَعْضَبِ الْقَرْنِ وَالْأُذُنِ قَالَ قَتَادَةُ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِسَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ الْعَضَبُ النِّصْفُ أَوْ أَكْثَرُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ.
Muhammad ibn Ja`far narrated to us, Sa`id narrated to us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Jari ibn Kulayb, that he heard Ali, may God be pleased with him, say that the Messenger of God forbade May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, to sacrifice the limbs of the horn and the ear. Qatada said, “I mentioned that to Sa’id ibn al-Musayyab, and he said.” Yes, the bone is half or more than that.
