حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الْمُنْذِرِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ اسْتَحْيَيْتُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْمَذْيِ مِنْ أَجْلِ فَاطِمَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا فَأَمَرْتُ الْمِقْدَادَ بْنَ الْأَسْوَدِ فَسَأَلَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ فِيهِ الْوُضُوءُ.
Muhammad ibn Ja`far narrated to us, Shu`bah narrated to us, he said: I heard Suleiman, speaking on the authority of al-Mundhir al-Thawri, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Ali, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him. On his authority, God said: I was ashamed to ask the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, about pre-ejaculatory fluid for the sake of Fatima, may God be pleased with her. So I ordered Al-Miqdad ibn Al-Aswad to ask the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, about that, and he said about it: ablution.
