Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45623

Muhammad ibn Ja`far narrated to us, Shu`bah narrated to us, on the authority of Suleiman, on the authority of Saad ibn Ubaidah, on the authority of Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him. On the authority of him, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he was at a funeral, so he took a stick to scratch the ground and said, “None of you Unless his place is destined for Hell or Paradise. They said, O Messenger of God, should we not rely? He said, “Work, for each will be facilitated.” As for he who gives and fears And whoever believes in good things, We will make things easy for him in times of hardship. As for whoever is miserly, becomes self-sufficient, and denies good things, We will make things easy for him in times of hardship. Shu’bah said. Mansour bin Al-Mu'tamir told me about it, and I did not deny anything about the hadith of Suleiman.
