حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يُصَلِّي صَلَاةً إِلَّا صَلَّى بَعْدَهَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ.
Abdullah told us, Abu Khaythamah told me, Jarir and Muhammad bin Fudayl told us, on the authority of Mutarrif, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Asim bin Damra, On the authority of Ali, he said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, would not pray a single prayer without praying two rak’ahs after it.
