Hadith #45660
Abdullah told us, Ali bin Hakim Al-Awdi told us, Sharik told us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Asim bin Damra, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him. On his authority, God said: Witr is not obligatory, but rather it is a sunnah enacted by the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.
