Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45679

Abdullah told us, Uthman bin Abi Shaybah told me, Jarir told us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Salem, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Asim bin Damra, On the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him, the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “With regard to what the sky is watered with, there is a tenth in it and what is watered in the west.” As for Daliyah, it contains half of the tenth. Abu Abd al-Rahman said, “I told my father about the hadith of Uthman on the authority of Jarir, but he denied it, and my father did not tell us about Muhammad bin Salem due to his weakness and his denial of his hadith.
