حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ، مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تَحْبِسُوا لُحُومَ الْأَضَاحِيِّ بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ.
Yazid bin Harun told us, Sufyan bin Hussein told us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Abu Ubaid, the client of Abdul Rahman bin Awf, who said: I heard Ali, may God be pleased with him, said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbade you to withhold the meat of sacrificial animals after three days.
