Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45810

Abdullah told us, Sufyan bin Wakee’ bin Al-Jarrah told me, my father told us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Abu Hayya al-Wadi’i, On the authority of Amr, Dhi Murr said, “We saw Ali, may God be pleased with him.” He performed ablution, washed his hands, rinsed his mouth, and sniffed his mouth. He said, “And I doubt about rinsing the mouth.” And inhaling three times, whether he mentioned it or not, and he washed his face three times, and his hands three times, each one three times, and wiped his head and ears. He said One of them then took a bowl and wiped his head with it, then he got up and drank the remainder of his ablution, then said, “This is what the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was like.” And he performed ablution
