وَعَن أبي مَالك الْأَشْجَعِيّ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِي: يَا أَبَتِ إِنَّكَ قَدْ صليت خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبِي بكر وَعمر وَعُثْمَان وَعلي هَهُنَا بِالْكُوفَةِ نَحْوًا مِنْ خَمْسِ سِنِينَ أَكَانُوا يَقْنُتُونَ؟ قَالَ: أَيْ بُنَيَّ مُحْدَثٌ ". رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ وَابْن مَاجَه
On the authority of Abu Malik Al-Ashja’i, he said: I said to my father: O father, you prayed behind the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and Abu Bakr, Omar, Uthman, and Ali are here. In Kufa for about five years, did they perform Qunoun? He said: That is, Bani Hadith. Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi, Al-Nasa’i and Ibn Majah.
