Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #48534

On the authority of Ibn Abbas that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib: “O Abbas, O blind man, shall I not give you? Shall I not grant you? They loved you? Shall I not do ten good things to you? If you do that, may God forgive you for your sins, the first and the last, old and new, both wrong. Its pillars are small and large, its secret and its openness: to pray four rak'ahs, reciting in each rak'ah the Fatihah of the Book and a surah. So, when you have finished reciting, in the first rak’ah while you are standing, you should say, Glory be to God, praise be to God, there is no god but God, and God is the greatest of five. Ten Once, then you bow and say it while you are bowing, then you raise your head from bowing and say it ten times, then you fall down to prostrate and say it while you are You prostrate ten times, then you raise your head from prostration and say it ten times, then you prostrate and say it ten times, then you raise your head and say it ten times. That is seventy-five in each rak’ah. You should do that in four rak’ahs. If you are able to pray it every day, then do so. If you cannot, then in every “Once a Friday. If you do not do that, then once every month. If you do not do that, then once every year. If you do not do that, then once in your lifetime.” Narrated by him. Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah, and Al-Bayhaqi in Al-Dawa’at Al-Kabir, and Al-Tirmidhi narrated on the authority of Abu Rafi’ in the same way.
