Hadith #48848
On the authority of Awf bin Malik, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, prayed at a funeral, so I preserved his supplication as he said: “O God, forgive him.” And have mercy on him, and treat him well, and pardon him, and honor his abode, and widen his entrance, and wash him with water, ice, and hail, and cleanse him of sins as I have cleansed the white garment from filth, and I will replace it with a better home than its home, and a better family than its family, and a better than its wife, and admit it to Paradise, and protect it from the torment of the grave and from The torment of the Fire. And in a narration: “Avoid the temptation of the grave and the torment of the Fire,” he said, “Until I wished I were that dead person.” Narrated by Muslim
