Hadith #48861
وَعَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ يَمْشُونَ أَمَامَ الْجَنَازَةِ. رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ وَقَالَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَأَهْلُ الْحَدِيثِ كَأَنَّهُمْ يَرَوْنَهُ مُرْسَلًا
On the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Salem, on the authority of his father, he said: I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, Abu Bakr and Omar walking in front of the funeral. It was narrated by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Al-Tirmidhi, Al-Nasa’i, and Ibn Majah. Al-Tirmidhi and the people of hadith said as if they saw it as a messenger.
