Hadith #49008
وَعَن ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَكَاةَ الْفِطْرِ طُهْرَ الصِّيَامِ مِنَ اللَّغْوِ وَالرَّفَثِ وَطُعْمَةً لِلْمَسَاكِينِ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, imposed Zakat al-Fitr to purify the fast of idle talk and obscenity, and to provide food for the poor. Narrated by Abu Dawood
