Hadith #49098
On the authority of Abu Dharr, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Your smiling in the face of your brother is a charity. Your enjoining what is right is a charity, and your forbidding what is evil is a charity.” Your guidance of a man in a land of error is charity for you, and your assistance to a man with poor eyesight is charity for you, and your removal of a stone is charity. And thorns and bones in the road are charity for you, and emptying your bucket into your brother’s bucket is charity for you.” Al-Tirmidhi narrated it and said: This is a strange hadith.
