Hadith #49389
On the authority of Ubaida al-Mulaiki, who was a companion of his, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “O people of the Qur’an, do not lean on the Qur’an.” And recite it as it is recited at all times of the day and night, and recite it and sing it, and contemplate what is in it, that perhaps you will succeed and not be hasty. His reward, for he will have a reward.” Narrated by Al-Bayhaqi in Shu’ab Al-Iman
