Hadith #49405
وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
" إِذَا دَعَا أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يَقُلِ: اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي إِنْ شِئْتَ وَلَكِنْ لِيَعْزِمْ وَلْيُعَظِّمِ الرَّغْبَةَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَتَعَاظَمُهُ شيءٌ أعطاهُ ". رَوَاهُ مُسلم
On his authority, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:
“When one of you supplicates, he should not say: O God, forgive me if you wish, but let him be determined and great in his desire, for God is not too great for something He has given.” Narrated by Muslim
