Hadith #49503
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَوْ لَمْ تُذْنِبُوا لَذَهَبَ اللَّهُ بِكُمْ وَلَجَاءَ بِقَوْمٍ يُذْنِبُونَ فَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ اللَّهَ فَيَغْفِرُ لَهُمْ» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, if you had not sinned, God would have taken you away and brought you back.” A people who sin and ask forgiveness from God, and He forgives them. Narrated by Muslim
