Hadith #49510
On the authority of Shaddad bin Aws, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The master of seeking forgiveness is to say: O God, you are my Lord, there is no god but You created me and I am Your servant and I abide by Your covenant and promise as much as I am able. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I seek refuge in You by Your grace upon me. And I admit my sin, so forgive me, for no one forgives sins except You.” He said: “And whoever says it during the day, being certain of it, then he dies on that day.” “Before the evening comes, he is one of the people of Paradise, and whoever says it at night while being certain of it and dies before the morning, he is one of the people of Paradise.” Narrated by him Al-Bukhari
