Hadith #49543
On the authority of Omar ibn al-Khattab, he said: A captive came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and suddenly a woman from the captivity was milking her breasts, running when she found a boy. During captivity, she took him and attached him to her stomach and breastfed him, and the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to us: “Do you see? This woman cast her child into the fire? So we said: No, and she is able not to throw it away. He said: “God is more merciful to His servants than this woman to her child.”
