Hadith #49547
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Indeed, God has recorded good deeds and bad deeds: so whoever intends to do a good deed, does not do it.” If he does it, God records it for him as a complete good deed, and if he intends to do it, God records it as ten good deeds for him, up to seven hundred times. Many times as much. And whoever intends to do a bad deed and does not do it, God records it as a perfect good deed with him; but if he intends to do it, God records it for him as one bad deed.”
