وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ أَنْ يَمُوت بالمدية فليمت لَهَا فَإِنِّي أَشْفَعُ لِمَنْ يَمُوتُ بِهَا» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيح غَرِيب إِسْنَادًا
On the authority of Ibn Omar, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever is able to die with a knife, let him die for it, for I intercede for whoever dies with it.” It was narrated by Ahmad and Al-Tirmidhi and he said: This is a hasan and authentic hadith with a strange chain of narration.
