وَعَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: حَفِظْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «دَعْ مَا يَرِيبُكَ إِلَى مَا لَا يَرِيبُكَ فَإِنَّ الصِّدْقَ طُمَأْنِينَةٌ وَإِنَّ الْكَذِبَ رِيبَةٌ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ وَرَوَى الدَّارِمِيُّ الْفَصْل الأول
On the authority of Al-Hasan bin Ali, may God be pleased with them both, he said: I learned from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace: “Leave what doubts you for what does not doubt you, for Honesty is reassurance, and lying is suspicion.” It was narrated by Ahmad, Al-Tirmidhi, and Al-Nasa’i, and Al-Darimi narrated the first chapter.
