عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: قَالَتِ امْرَأَةُ بَشِيرٍ: انْحَلِ ابْنِي غُلَامَكَ وَأَشْهِدْ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ ابْنَةَ فُلَانٍ سَأَلَتْنِي أَنْ أَنْحَلَ ابْنَهَا غُلَامِي وَقَالَتْ: أَشْهِدْ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «أَلَهُ إِخْوَةٌ؟» قَالَ: نَعَمْ قَالَ: «أَفَكُلَّهُمْ أَعْطَيْتَهُمْ مِثْلَ مَا أَعْطَيْتَهُ؟» قَالَ: لَا قَالَ: «فَلَيْسَ يَصْلُحُ هَذَا وَإِنِّي لَا أَشْهَدُ إِلَّا على حق» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
On the authority of Jabir, he said: Bashir’s wife said: Let my son, your servant, be released and let the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, bear witness for me. So he came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The daughter of so-and-so asked me if her son, my servant, should be removed, and she said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, testified for me. He greeted and said: “Does he have brothers?” He said: Yes. He said: “Did you give all of them the same as what you gave him?” He said: No. He said: “This is not appropriate, and I bear witness only to what is right.” Narrated by Muslim
