Hadith #50382
وَعَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِين تَزَوَّجَ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ وَأَصْبَحَتْ عِنْدَهُ قَالَ لَهَا: «لَيْسَ بِكِ عَلَى أَهْلِكِ هَوَانٌ إِنْ شِئْتِ سَبَّعْتُ عِنْدَكِ وَسَبَّعْتُ عِنْدَهُنَّ وَإِنْ شِئْتِ ثَلَّثْتُ عِنْدَكِ وَدُرْتُ» . قَالَتْ: ثَلِّثْ. وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: إِنَّهُ قَالَ لَهَا: «لِلْبِكْرِ سَبْعٌ وَلِلثَّيِّبِ ثَلَاثٌ» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
On the authority of Abu Bakr bin Abdul Rahman: When the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, married Umm Salamah and she was with him in the morning, he said to her: “It is not You are a disgrace to your family. If you wish, I may have seven with you and I may be seven with them, and if you wish, I may have three with you and turn around.” She said: A third. And in a narration: He said to her: “For the virgin seven and for the married woman three.” Narrated by Muslim
