Hadith #50530
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي عَبْدٍ وَكَانَ لَهُ مَالٌ يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَ الْعَبْدِ قُوِّمَ الْعَبْدُ قِيمَةَ عَدْلٍ فَأُعْطِيَ شُرَكَاؤُهُ حِصَصَهُمْ وَعَتَقَ عَلَيْهِ الْعَبْدُ وَإِلَّا فَقَدْ عَتَقَ مِنْهُ مَا عَتَقَ»
On the authority of Ibn Umar, may God be pleased with them both, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Whoever frees a partner of his in a slave and has wealth amounting to The price of the slave: Assess the slave at a fair value, then give his partners their shares, and the slave will be freed on him. Otherwise, he will free what was freed from him.”
