Hadith #50573
On the authority of Anas, the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, saw an old man being guided between his two sons, and he said: “What is the matter with this?” They said: He vowed to walk to the House of God. He said: “Indeed, God Almighty is sufficient for this man’s torment.” He ordered him to ride. And in a narration by Muslim on the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: “Ride, O Sheikh, God is Free from you and from your vows.”
