Hadith #50735
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى عُمَرَ بِغُلَامٍ لَهُ فَقَالَ: اقْطَعْ يَدَهُ فَإِنَّهُ سرقَ مرآةَ لأمرأتي فَقَالَ عمَرُ رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنهُ: لَا قَطْعَ عَلَيْهِ وَهُوَ خَادِمُكُمْ أَخَذَ مَتَاعَكُمْ. رَوَاهُ مَالك
On the authority of Ibn Omar, he said: A man came to Omar with a boy of his and said: Cut off his hand, for he has stolen a mirror for my wife. Omar, may God be pleased with him, said: He must not be cut off, and he is Your servant has taken your belongings. Narrated by Malik
