Hadith #50748
On the authority of Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, that a man named Abdullah, nicknamed Donkey, used to make the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, laugh. He had flogged him for drinking, and one day he was brought and ordered that he be flogged, and a man from among the people said: O God, curse him. What a lot of things he is brought to, and the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Do not curse him, for by God, I did not know that he loves God and His Messenger.” Narrated by Al-Bukhari
