وَعَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ: أَنِّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تُوُفِّيَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ فَذَكَرُوا لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ» فَتَغَيَّرَتْ وُجُوهُ النَّاسِ لِذَلِكَ فَقَالَ: «إِنَّ صَاحِبَكُمْ غَلَّ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ» فَفَتَّشْنَا مَتَاعَهُ فَوَجَدْنَا خَرَزًا مِنْ خَرَزِ يَهُودَ لَا يُسَاوِي دِرْهَمَيْنِ. رَوَاهُ مَالك وَأَبُو دَاوُد وَالنَّسَائِيّ
On the authority of Yazid bin Khalid: A man from the companions of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, died on the day of Khaybar. They mentioned it to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He greeted him and said: “Pray blessings upon your companion.” The faces of the people changed and he said: “Indeed, your companion has committed injustice in the path of God.” We searched his belongings and found Jewish beads not worth two dirhams. Narrated by Malik, Abu Dawud and Al-Nasa’i
