On the authority of Umaymah, the daughter of Raqiqa, who said: I pledged allegiance to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, over women, and he said to us: “As much as you are able and able.” I said: God and His Messenger are Most Merciful. On our own behalf, I said: O Messenger of God, give us your allegiance, meaning shake hands with us. He said: “My statement to a hundred women is the same as my statement.” For one woman.” Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi, Al-Nasa’i, Ibn Majah, and Malik in Al-Muwatta’
