On the authority of Ata’ ibn Yasar, on the authority of a man from Banu Haritha, that he was tending to a pollen on one of the groves of Uhud, and he saw death in it and found nothing. He slaughtered her with it, so he took a stake and plunged it into her throat until her blood was shed. Then he informed the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he ordered him to do so. By eating it. Narrated by Abu Dawud and Malik, and in his narration: He said: So he slaughtered her with a fragment.
