Hadith #51314
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ مِنَ الْخَلَاءِ فَقُدِّمَ إِلَيْهِ طَعَامٌ فَقَالُوا: أَلَا نَأْتِيكَ بِوَضُوءٍ؟ قَالَ: «إِنَّمَا أُمِرْتُ بِالْوُضُوءِ إِذَا قُمْتُ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ وَأَبُو دَاوُد وَالنَّسَائِيّ
وَرَوَاهُ ابْن مَاجَه عَن أبي هُرَيْرَة
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, came out of the toilet and food was presented to him, and they said: Shall we not bring you ablution? He said: “I was only ordered to perform ablution when I stand up to pray.” Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, and Al-Nasa’i.
It was narrated by Ibn Majah on the authority of Abu Hurairah
