حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: عَلَيْكُمْ بِالصِّدْقِ، فَإِنَّ الصِّدْقَ يَهْدِي إِلَى الْبِرِّ، وَإِنَّ الْبِرَّ يَهْدِي إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ، وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ يَصْدُقُ حَتَّى يُكْتَبَ عِنْدَ اللهِ صِدِّيقًا، وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالْكَذِبَ، فَإِنَّ الْكَذِبَ يَهْدِي إِلَى الْفُجُورِ، وَالْفُجُورَ يَهْدِي إِلَى النَّارِ، وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَكْذِبُ حَتَّى يُكْتَبَ عِنْدَ اللهِ كَذَّابًا.
Musaddad told us, he said: Abdullah bin Dawud told us, on the authority of Al-Amash, on the authority of Abu Wa’il, on the authority of Abdullah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, who said: It is upon you. With honesty, for truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise, and a man tells the truth until he is recorded in the sight of God. truthful, and beware of lying, for lying leads to immorality, and immorality leads to the Fire, and indeed a man will lie until he is recorded when God is a liar...
