Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #51341

On the authority of Hudhayfah, he said: When we were present with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, we would not lay down our hands until the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, began and put his hand. One time we were preparing food with him, and a maid came as if she was being pushed, so she went to put her hand in the food, and he took it. Then a Bedouin came as if he was being pushed and took it in his hand, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The devil makes food permissible if the name of God is not mentioned on it, and he brought this slave girl to make it permissible for her, so I took In her hand, he brought this Bedouin to make himself permissible for him, so I took his hand, by the One in whose hand my soul is. His hand is in my hand, along with her hand.” He added in one narration: Then he mentioned the name of God and ate. Narrated by Muslim
