Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #51676

On the authority of Muawiyah bin Al-Hakam, he said: I said: O Messenger of God, we used to go to soothsayers. We used to do things in pre-Islamic times. He said: “So do not go to soothsayers.” He said: I said: We used to. Nattair said: “That is something that one of you finds within himself, so do not let it stop you.” He said: I said: Among us are men who calligraphy. He said: “It was “A prophet among the prophets writes, so whoever agrees with his writing, that is the same.” Narrated by Muslim
