Hadith #52029
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَا يَنْبَغِي لِعَبْدٍ أَنْ يَقُولَ: إِنِّي خَيْرٌ مِنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَتَّى ". مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ البُخَارِيّ قَالَ: " من قَالَ: أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَتَّى فقد كذب "
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “A servant should not say: I am better than Yunus ibn Matthew.” Agreed upon And in the narration of Al-Bukhari, he said: “Whoever says: I am better than Yunus bin Matthew has lied.”
