Hadith #52046
On the authority of Jubayr bin Mutim, he said: A Bedouin came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said: The souls are exhausted, the families are hungry, and the families are exhausted. Wealth and livestock have perished, so ask God for water for us, for we seek your intercession with God. We seek God’s intercession on your behalf. Then the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said Peace be upon him: “Glory be to God, Glory be to God.” He continued praising God until this was evident in the faces of his companions, then he said: “Woe to you, for no one can intercede with God. The matter of God is greater than that. Woe to you. Do you know what God is? Indeed, His throne is over His heavens like this.” And he said with his fingers like this: The dome is upon him, “and indeed he makes a saddlebag with a rider.” Narrated by Abu Dawud.
