وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسلم: " إِن لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ وُلَاةً مِنَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَإِنَّ وَلِيِّيَ أَبِي وَخَلِيلُ رَبِّي ثُمَّ قَرَأَ: [إِنَّ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِإِبْرَاهِيمَ لَلَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُ وَهَذَا النَّبِيُّ وَالَّذِينَ آمنُوا وَالله ولي الْمُؤمنِينَ] . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ
On the authority of Abdullah bin Masoud, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Every prophet has guardians from among the prophets, and my guardian is my father and the friend of my Lord.” Then he read: [Indeed, the people closest to Abraham are those who followed him, and this is the Prophet and those who believe, and God is the Guardian of the believers].
