حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرٌ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، قَالَ‏:‏ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنِي عُرْوَةُ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ‏:‏ مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُصَابُ بِمُصِيبَةٍ، وَجَعٍ أَوْ مَرَضٍ، إِلاَّ كَانَ كَفَّارَةَ ذُنُوبِهِ، حَتَّى الشَّوْكَةُ يُشَاكُهَا، أَوِ النَّكْبَةُ‏.‏
Bishr told us, he said: Abdullah told us, he said: Yunus told us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, he said: Urwa told me, on the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her. On her authority, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said: No Muslim is afflicted with a calamity, pain or illness, except that it is an expiation for his sins, even a thorn. It suffers from turmoil, or calamity
