Adabul Mufrad — Hadith #36423

I entered the presence of the Prophet (PBUH). He was lying on a palanquin made of ropes of palm leaves. Under his head was a leather pillow filled with palm bark. There was no cloth between Charpaya and his body. Umar (ra) entered him He cried. The Prophet (PBUH) said to him: O Umar! What made you cry? He said, God's oath! I am crying because I know that your status in the eyes of God is much higher than that of Caesar and Caesar. They are of this earthly world Immersed in endless pleasures. And O Messenger of God! I see your situation with my own eyes! The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: O Umar! Will you not be satisfied that for them the pleasures of this world and for us the pleasures of the Hereafter? I said, of course ya Messenger of Allah! He said: The matter is like this. (Musnad Ahmad, Ibn Hibban)
