Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #44564

Affan told us, he said Shu`bah told us, on the authority of Ali bin Ata’, he said, I heard Amr bin Asim bin Abdullah, he said, I heard Abu Hurairah, He says, Abu Bakr said, O Messenger of God, tell me something that I can say in the morning and in the evening. He said, “Say, O God, the Knower of the Unseen and the Witnessed.” Creator of the heavens and the earth, Lord of everything and its Sovereign. I bear witness that there is no god but You.
