Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #44623

Yahya bin Ishaq told us, Ibn Lahi’ah told us, on the authority of Abu Al-Zubayr, on the authority of Jabir, he said, Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, told me He said, “I heard the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, say, ‘Let the rider walk on the outskirts of the city,’ and then say, ‘Indeed, he was present in this.’” There are many believers, said Abu Ahmad ibn Hanbal, but Hasan al-Asheb did not accept them in any way.
