Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #44681

Yahya told us, Husayn al-Mu’allim told us, Amr bin Shuaib told us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather, he said, when Amr returned, Banu Muammar came. Ibn Habib were disputing with him over the loyalty of their sister until Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, and he said, “I will decide between you according to what I heard from the Messenger of God.” May God’s prayers and peace be upon him. He said, “Whatever the son or father achieves is the property of his descendant, whoever he is, so he judges it for us.”
