Abu Abd al-Rahman said: Ahmad ibn Hanbal narrated to us, I read from Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi: Malik, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, on the authority of Salem ibn Abdullah, on the authority of Ibn Umar, may God be pleased with him, said: A man from the companions of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, entered the mosque on Friday. Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, was addressing the people.
